CommunicationsThe sphere of informatization and connection is the most dynamically developing industry of economy. Our republic is included in the number of leaders on the level of telephony and informatization development. Thus, within the framework of telephones installation in the Russian remote places by introduction of universal service of communication from 2005 there was made the equipment of rural and remote settlements with phones and collective points of access (PKD) to the internet. In obedience to the plans, in settlements, where over 500 people live, at communication centers 20,6 thousand of such points of access to the global network will be opened till 2009. On opening of PKDs our republic occupies one of the leading places in Russia. JSC «Bashinformsvyaz» is a basic operator and provider of telecommunication services in Bashkortostan Republic. Subdivisions of joint-stock company, located in all administrative centres of our republic, provide local, cellular, intertown and international telephone connection; carry out radio- and tele-broadcasting; render services of informatization and data communications, access to the internet. About ten thousand telecommunications workers are in subdivisions of «Bashinformsvyaz». Among the main recent achievements, there is an increase of number ing capacity to one million numbers, transition of telephone network of the capital of Bashkortostan to seven-digit indexation. All this allowed turning in Ufa from February 1, 2007 to the new time-based billing. After the capital of the republic Sterlitamak and Salavat cities will turn to this system, and then and other settlements. Rendering of dial-up access services to the internet, and also introduction of ADSL technology allowed JSC «Bashinformsvyaz» to occupy the leading position in this sphere. The modern digital automatic long-distance exchange (AMTS) enables every day to make more than 1,6 million intertown telephone connections. First in Russia, the system of electronic banking payments was implemented. Good terms are created for realization of the Federal special program «Electronic Russia». The present system of regional state broadcasting includes three channels. It is a basic channel «Radio of Bashkortostan», covering the different spheres of life of our republic on Russian, Bashkir, Tatar and other languages. It is supplemented by its structural subdivisions channels of the informative-musical broadcasting «Yuldash» (on Bashkir and Tatar languages) and SPUTNIK-FM" (in Russian language), working in the European wave band in the round-the-clock mode. The local television acquires more and more popularity. New microwave lines were put into operation for last years, tens of television and broadcast transmitters were mounted. The broadband interactive networks of cable television are building. As a result, increasingly more habitants of our republic get possibility to use their services. Broadcasts of Bashkir satellite television became usual. Process of development of telecasting and broadcasting system and conversion to new technologies in GTRK «Bashkortostan» is not stopped. Now, in accordance with the plans of the Ministry of information technologies and communications of Russian Federation, the matter considers transferring to the digital broadcasting which it is planned to complete all over the country to 2015. The number of subscribers of cellular communication grows rapidly. Their amount in our republic exceeded three million 600 thousand, it is almost 90 percent of population. Eight operators of cellular communication work in Bashkortostan. Foremost, these are operators of «The Big Three»: JSC «Mobile telesystems» (MTS), «Megaphone», «Beeline». The first operator of cellular communication in Bashkortostan became JSC «Cellular communications of Bashkortostan» («Sotel») in 1993. |
