The building complex RB is found in the Top 10 among Russian regions. Only in 2006 the volume of completed works made more than 56 billions rubles.

In 2006 the highest results have been achieved in housing building for the last 13 years. Due to all sources 1 million 705,7 thousands square meters of dwelling have been built up and this figure exceeds the level of 2005 by 6%. Our Republic holds the sixth place in Russian Federation in volumes of dwelling, put into exploitation.

Besides, our Republic builds up new hospitals and polyclinics, kindergartens and other social objects every year.

For the last five years seven millions square meters of housing, schools for 21 thousands seats, hospitals for 990 beds and clubs and culture houses for 9230 seats have been erected in the Republic. Thus, our Republic has put the unique terephthalic acid production complex into exploitation and erection of Umaguzinskoe water reservoir is close to the end.

In a whole more than four thousands enterprises work in sphere of building and more than 120 thousands people are engaged in this branch. The industry of building materials is also actively developing. Today the enterprises, specializing in sphere of ceramic tile production (the company „ITALBASHCERAMICA“ in Oktyabrsky-town), production of dry building mixtures (JSC „Soda“ in Sterlitamac), production of foam polystyrene warmth-keeper (the company „Polymer“ in Ufa), natural stone working (in Ufa and Utchaly), function in the Republic.

One of the prior tasks, the building complex RB is facing now, is realization of the top priority national project „Accessible and comfortable dwelling – to citizens of Russia“ and preparation to the celebrities, dedicated to the 450^th anniversary of Bashkortostan free-will joining Russian state. Bashkir builders have to put more than 40 objects into exploitation.

The problem of liquidation for tumbledown dwelling (more than 800 thousands square meters) still remains urgent.

Gasification of Bashkir settlements is close to the end.

The road network of Bashkortostan is the most lengthy in Russian Federation and makes about 25 thousands square meters, including 500 kilometers of federal roads. All towns and settlements RB are connected with Ufa and between themselves by asphalted roads. For the last five years 1420 kilometers of roads has been put into exploitation. 460 kilometers of village streets has been asphalted. 140 bridges with total length more than 7,8 thousands running meters has been erected and reconstructed and more than 13,8 thousands asphalted roads and 404 bridges with total length 23,4 thousands running meters have been laid in Bashkortostan for the last 156 years.

For the last years this branch is developing especially actively and about 10% of Bashkortostan’s budget is annually spent for its financing – this is much higher than in other Russian regions. Road branch RB actively introduces up-to-date technologies and uses the most modern materials.
